Named by local young people, 224 (Today, Tomorrow, Forever), will “soft open” in late spring, followed soon after with a full opening. The space isn’t finished, some things to be added include additional planting which will be done with young people, fencing, window film to ensure privacy for neighbours and wall art in collaboration with Upfest.
This is the 20th Youth Zone and is built and organised on an established model that has been successful across the country. It will offer activities and opportunities for local young people and young people from across south Bristol. The young people will be supported by dedicated and trained staff. Youth Moves have been working with schools and youth projects to build relationships and to ensure that they are creating a space in 224 that local young people want and need.
Each room will have a member of staff. There will be clear expectations and boundaries set for the young people and each young person will be met by a youth worker.

On Saturday there will be family sessions young people can come along with adult family and carers to use the space together. 224 is fully accessible for young people with additional needs, who can access 224 up to age 25, across opening times. However, Sunday the focus will be more specifically for young people with additional needs and disabilities.

Whether it’s through a casual conversation or a structured activity, our youth workers are here to support and inspire.” Youth Moves 224
