Data control

Knowle West Media Centre is the data controller for most of the data Knowle West Alliance collect and store.

We collect personal information through a number of different ways when you choose to interact with us, all of which are subject to strict data security processes to ensure your personal information is kept safe at all times.

In addition, we use the following data processors to enable us to collect, process and securely store the data we obtain.

  • We use EventBrite to process some ticket bookings
  • We use Mailerlite to manage our email communications

Any data processed on behalf of Knowle West Alliance is processed only to the extent required by them to perform the services that Knowle West Alliance requests. Any use for other purposes is strictly prohibited within a data sharing agreement between us and the provider. Furthermore, any data that is processed by third parties must be processed within the terms of this policy and in accordance with the United Kingdom Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation 2018.

We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may share your information with selected third parties including:

  • our funders, academic and media partners, suppliers and subcontractors in order to provide you with the services that you request for us and to maximise opportunities for the sharing know-how which you may contribute to our site; and
  • analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site.
