Don’t Fall, Walk Tall

Supporting Confidence, Safety, and Independence.
Did you know that falls are the largest cause of emergency hospital admissions for older people aged 65+?
We are pleased to be hosting Don’t Fall, Walk Tall, a community event led by Age UK Bristol designed to help older people feel more confident, steady, and supported in their everyday lives.
The event brings together a range of local health, wellbeing, and community organisations in one welcoming space. It is an opportunity to find out about practical ways to reduce the risk of falls, stay active, and maintain independence at home and in the community.
Visitors will be able to speak directly with professionals, learn about local services, and explore simple, practical ideas that can make a real difference to everyday movement and safety. This includes information on balance and strength, safe footwear, and how to move confidently around the home.
There’ll also be opportunities to see gentle demonstrations and discover local activities that support wellbeing and staying active. The event is informal and can be visited at your own pace, with plenty of time to ask questions and talk to services one-to-one.
Don’t Fall, Walk Tall is open to older people, as well as family members, carers, and anyone interested in supporting independent living and wellbeing in later life. Refreshments will be available, offering a chance to relax and have a friendly chat with others attending.
This event is about bringing people together, sharing practical knowledge, and supporting confidence in everyday life.
