Men’s health and wellbeing programme

a new men’s health programme we’re running locally at Filwood Community Centre, starting this October 27th.
This programme has been built with local men, for local men through a series of co-design sessions. It’s not a lecture or a fitness class — it’s a mix of group sessions and practical workshops designed to make health feel realistic, non-judgemental and actually useful for day-to-day life.
The focus is on three key areas:
• Mental wellbeing – stress, confidence, coping tools
• Food – simple, affordable nutrition and cooking skills
• Movement – practical ways to move that feel good and doable
We’re currently testing the programme, so this is a great chance for men to come along for a free lunch, take part, and share honest feedback to help shape the final version.
Each session runs 12–4pm (with lunch 12–12:30, session 12:30–3, and time after for chat and feedback).
Programme dates:
Week 0 – 27th October
Week 1 – 3rd November
Week 2 – 10th November
Week 3 – 17th November
Cooking Practical – week of 24th november exact time to be confirmed.
Week 4 – 1st December
Week 5 – 8th December
Wrap-up Session – 15th December
All sessions are free of charge, and lunch is included each week — we just ask that participants let us know about any allergies or dietary requirements in advance.
We’ve got space for 20 men to take part. If you know anyone who’d be interested, it would be great if you could share this with them. I’ve attached a flyer/poster with all the details.
