Who cares about Filwood Broadway anyway?

Residents invited to local housing chats

Residents have been invited to two social events at Filwood Community Centre to chat about local housing developments – and how to “make the Broadway great again”.

Filwood Market was a new initiative launched on the Broadway last year and continues on the first Saturday of every month.

The local mingles have been organised by Knowle West Alliance – a partnership of local residents, businesses and organisations “building and supporting positive action in Knowle West” along with Knowle West Future, a group taking forward the area’s regeneration plan.

Local people will have the chance to give their opinions on what will help Knowle West and the Broadway thrive and receive the latest updates about planned housing developments across the area.

The old cinema on Filwood Broadway is one of the sites selected for a new housing development.

Everyone is welcome to drop in from 3-5pm on Thursday 12 March and 5-7pm on Friday 13 March.

Plans are still available to view on the Bristol City Council website https://www.bristol.gov.uk/housing/filwood-housing-developments or visit https://knowlewestalliance.co.uk/housing-development-proposals/
