How’s That Sound? workshop

To kick off the council’s high street improvement plan we want to hear how you imagine the future of Filwood Broadway. We are looking for enthusiastic locals to contribute to an immersive sound performance and workshop, capturing a shared vision for a vibrant and welcoming high street.

Imagine a Future for Filwood Broadway that:

· Supports local businesses

· Enables creative ideas and new community activities to happen

· Is environmentally sustainable and community-led

· Meets the needs of all locals

What You’ll Do:

· Explore & Imagine: Take a short, guided walk around the area using an app on your phone to envision and write about the future high street and local area.

· Share & Listen: Return to hear your future stories brought to life by a performer, accompanied by an improvised, immersive soundtrack from a musician.

· Discuss & Shape: Engage in a discussion about the shared vision and consider the steps needed to make that vision a reality.

Event Details:

· Duration: 2 hours

· Open to: Everyone (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

· Requirements: Smartphone (Let us know in advance if you need one via the contact information below)

· Outdoor Time: Approximately 30 minutes

· Accessibility: Inform us of any access needs, and we will do our best to accommodate you
