Trade Schools are workshops based on the idea that everyone has something to share, and everyone has something to learn. Our Trade Schools will be a series of creative workshops where we develop the skills we need to reimagine, repair and make changes to our homes, streets and neighbourhoods.
Build confidence in tools and DIY
Make things for your home and street
Learn something new in a friendly + supportive environment
Meet new people who live locally
Share food and make connections
Trade Schools are aimed at beginners. You do not need any skills or ‘knowhow’ to come along.
We are working to make our Trade Schools as accessible as possible for people who face barriers to these kinds of workshops: women, people of colour, working class people, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled people, people out of work.
This is a series of 4 workshops, for anyone over the age of 18 – with two options to attend. One series is on Thursday evenings 6-8pm and another set of workshops on Friday 10am – 1pm to suit different peoples diaries.
The dates for the Thursday sessions 6-8pm are on the 30th January, 6th February, 13th February, 27th February.
The dates for the Friday sessions are on the 10 – 1pm on 31st January, 7th February, 14th February, 28th February.
