The Park starts move to new building

The move started in earnest today Monday (7 February) – with staff at The Park Centre on Daventry Road leaving their old site to be re-housed in their brand new building just yards away.

It will take them all week to move everything and get settled – and they will be fully open to the public by Monday 14 February. Youth Moves which works with young people in the area will still be operational this week.

Their old building which used to be the former Merrywood School will be demolished to make way for the construction of the new secondary school for Knowle West – now due to open in 2024.

In a statement on Facebook, The Park said: “…We are very excited to finally be moving next week into our new building.

“This means that next week the gym, cafe etc will not be open. Please do not visit the site unless it is essential. We look forward to welcoming you to our new building from Monday 14th Feb.”
