St Monica Trust – Coronation Fund

In May, the country will be celebrating the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort over the weekend of Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May 2023.

St Monica Trust is organising events for its residents in its villages and care homes and is pleased to offer grants to enable older people in their local communities to hold their own celebrations.

The Coronation Fund  will support events which have older people at the heart and bring together the communities around them.

This small grants programme offers grants of up to £500 to organisations and venues, enabling them to deliver an event that is inclusive of older people who can come together in celebration and community.

While the main celebrations are over the May bank holiday weekend – St Monica Trust will also support celebrations throughout the month.

The charity is also encouraging applications for events that are part of The Coronation Big Lunch which is taking place on the Coronation Weekend.  Guidance on how to apply can be found on its website.

If you’d like any printed copies sent to you, please let Charitable Impact know. The closing date for applications is midnight on Friday March 31,2023 and applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application on a rolling basis – with the charity assessing applications on a weekly basis from week commencing March 15, 2023.

St Monica Trust will also continue to support older people in the region via individual giving fund which offers one-off gifts and short-term grants. The application form for this support can also be accessed on its website.
