Do you have an idea for a project which could benefit the area – but just need some money to help get it off the ground?

Knowle West Alliance (KWA) is running the next round of their Small Grants scheme – offering pots of up to £200 to any residents, community groups or schools which have a project that could help the Knowle West community.

It is now the last chance for residents to apply as the money runs out at the end of the month – and the deadline for forms is 19 July.

KWA Development Worker Frances Coates says she is happy to help with application forms or chat about any ideas.

She says: “We’ve already funded projects including trips and equipment for community groups, a school litter-pick, making a video, art projects, local community events and gardening projects.  What could you do with £200?”

The Knit and Natter group also received a Small Grant. Members left to right Sue Vile, Viv Garton, Kelly Hunt and Jane White with a selection of the baby clothes they have knitted for charity. (Picture taken before COVID-19).

To apply by 19 July check out the KWA website at knowlewestalliance.co.uk/grants. Anyone needing help can contact Frances by emailing frances.coates@kwalliance.co.uk or call her on 0794 267 7131.
