Site visit for Kingswear Road development cancelled
A site walkabout at Kingswear Road due to take place on Wednesday 18 March for residents to discuss development proposals has been cancelled – in view of guidelines around the Corona Virus pandemic.
These plans could see 32 new homes on the site which would be a mixture of apartments and houses of between one and three bedrooms.
The event was arranged by Knowle West Alliance and the Northern Slopes Initiative – a group of local people who look after the nature reserve – in partnership with Bristol City Council.
A round table meeting, due to take place after the site visit from 2pm at the Quaker Meeting Rooms on Wedmore Vale, has also been cancelled.
Plans for the area were first showcased for local people to comment on at two public events at Knowle West Media Centre and Filwood Community Centre in December: https://www.knowlewest.co.uk/have-your-say-on-new-housing-in-the-area/
Alliance Co-ordinator Lucy Holburn said the event had been so that representatives from the Council and the external design and planning team could have met and “discussed matters with local residents”.
But plans are still available to view at: www.bristol.gov.uk/housing/filwood-housing-developments
