Local families will be treated to a special doorstep performance – when Santa and his elf visit Filwood on Tuesday 22 December.
The free event will be a Santa’s grotto meets theatre performance – and promises to be sackloads of fun.
With the elf sprinkling his magic and Father Christmas talking to children about their wish lists – local residents may also hear Rudolph’s bells jingling – although his sleigh will be out of sight on the rooftops
The visit has been arranged by Tobacco Factory Theatres, along with Filwood Community Centre and Knowle West Media Centre, to bring some festive cheer to the area.
Becky Cresswell from Tobacco Factory Theatres says: “Since their Christmas-show-in-miniature has been a sell-out success in BS3, Tobacco Factory Theatres is delighted that Santa and Elf can fit Filwood into their busy pre-Christmas schedule…
“All performed at a Covid-safe two metres from your front door!”
To take part, residents are asked to get chatting to their neighbours – from a safe distance – to form a group in their street, ideally close to Filwood Community Centre.
Santa and his elf have will be able to visit one or two streets in the area and see a minimum of 20 children.
Once the group has been formed, email Claudiatheclown@gmail.com with your road name in the subject line by 14 December. Places are limited and successful streets will be contacted.
The event will take place from 5-7pm on Tuesday 22 December – if you watch out you may catch a glimpse of them on the night.
