On Thursday 4 February local organisations took to the streets to find out people’s biggest concerns and priorities for their community in 2016.

The organisations form a group called Knowle West Together, which has organised several large community events over the past few years – including last year’s Knowle West Fest and the Filwood Gets Fit health week.

Passers-by on Filwood Broadway were invited to reflect on recently-released statistics about the Filwood ward, from health and education to how happy people reported to be.

Knowle West Together then asked: “Is this the Filwood you know?  What do you think is the biggest challenge in the area?  What’s the biggest opportunity?” People could also have their photo taken with the #LoveFilwood banner.

Knowle West Together will be pulling together all of the feedback to see how they can contribute to improving the area in the coming year, working alongside local residents.

Look out for more #LoveFilwood events in 2016 and please contact Andrew McLean, Neighbourhood Partnership Coordinator if you have any questions or ideas on 0746 733 5714 or email andrew.mclean@bristol.gov.uk
