Following a World Café in the spring to find out what young people need in Knowle West – £18,000 has been made available to fund ideas from the event.

The Invest in K West World Café, held at Filwood Community Centre, was organised by a group of local young people, supported by MutualGain, Avon and Somerset Police and Bristol City Council.

MutualGain, which empowers organisations and communities to reconnect in the social space, will be funding projects to support local young people based on themes from the day – with applications now open online.

A Participatory Budget event is set to take place late August – where ideas will be presented for the community to vote for their favourite.

Applications for projects can be made online until 5 August at 5pm via: Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/InvestInKWest or Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/invest.in.k.west/
