Four men arrested on suspicion of kidnap in Hengrove

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap after police received reports of a man being attacked and forced into the boot of a car in Hengrove.

The incident happened in Cadogan Road on Sunday (April 16) at 10.25pm and after attending the scene, officers confirmed they had found a man, who they believed to be the victim, injured on nearby Airport Road.

The four men, aged 32, 33, 36 and 47, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap. The arrested 32-year-old man has also been detained on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug.

The victim, a man in his 30s has also received treatment at hospital and since been discharged.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “The arrested men remain in police custody as enquiries into the incident continue.

“A vehicle has been recovered as part of our investigation and specialist crime scene investigators are due to examine Cadogan Road and Airport Road today…”
