First turkey chick at Andy’s Haven

A new turkey chick is the first one of the year at Andy’s Haven based at The Park.

The youngster – as yet un-named – is the offspring of Perky, one of two male turkeys based at the showcase garden which also houses, geese, ducks and chickens as well as goats and a polytunnel to grow fruit and vegetables.

The chick posed with Andy and his father recently – to show how much he has to grow to reach his full height.

The garden hit the headlines with the popular Kurk the turkey, who is the most photographed bird at the site and has met two Bristol Mayors.
