Talking to Teenagers about Drugs

A free virtual workshop for practitioners working with secondary age children .

This training will be delivered by Joanna Mallinson of the BE Project (currently working in partnership with A&S Police’s Project ADDER).

This seminar is a practical and informative session aimed at upskilling education professionals and other practitioners around the issues of drug use amongst teenagers in Bristol. It will be an hour of training input, followed by half an hour of questions, answers and discussion. The session will cover:

• Drug Trends: What drugs are teenagers in Bristol using?
• Why do some teenagers use drugs?
• When does drug use become problematic?
• Top tips for talking to teenagers about drugs?
• How can you help young people who are at risk of or currently using drugs?
