COVID-19 Vaccine – Dispelling the myths and misinformation

January 26 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join healthcare specialists working with the COVID-19 vaccine in Bristol and South Gloucestershire and ask them the questions you want the answers to.

With three COVID-19 vaccines approved and more trials taking place,  our expert panel, will be available to discuss how vaccines work and help us dispel the myths and misinformation.

The online event, led by the council’s Race Equality COVID-19 Steering Group, will give residents in the city an opportunity to find out more about how the jabs work.

Some common questions are:

  • How did the vaccine get approved so quickly?
  • Is the vaccine safe?
  • What are the side effects of the vaccine?
  • Will the vaccine give me COVID-19?

Key speaker Dr Rajeka Lazarus, Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at University Hospital Bristol & Weston, will be joined by a panel of local healthcare, public health and community professionals.
