We are pleased to launch the Safer and Friendlier Community Grants in collaboration with the Council Community Development Team funded by the Police Crime Commissioner.
This is specifically for grassroots action locally that aims to promote a safer and friendlier community in Knowle West. We welcome applications from local individuals, groups and organisations who have an idea for a community project that could support this. It could be to tackle anti-social behaviour, bring the community together or build understanding between different groups – we know that local people know their community best and should make the decisions about how money is spent to tackle local issues. We want to give people the opportunity to develop what exists, come up with new ideas and start new projects.
You can apply for up to £3000 for your project which will need to happen between March and December 2025. Applications should be in by 28th February 2025 and we’ll let you know if you’ve been successful at the beginning of March.
Knowle West Alliance and Council Community Development Team staff will be on hand to help with applications and throughout the whole process – the aim is to make it as simple as possible so anyone can apply.
