A pooch photoshoot for local canines and their owners took place at Knowle West Media Centre at the weekend.
Knowle West residents came with their pets for a free photo session with photographer Tommy Sussex – which will be part of an exhibition this autumn.
Dogs and owners were treated to refreshments and the chance for the dogs to practise their skills on an agility course – that was more suitable for the smaller breeds.
Serena from Filwood brought her Belington Terrier, Whisper, who was the youngest entrant at just 20 weeks old.
She said: “Lots of people do seem to have dogs in this area and they seem well-loved. I think some owners like their pets better than people.”
Head of Arts at Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC) said: “The event was to celebrate the diversity of a dog’s life in Knowle West. The exhibition is going to be in November at KWMC to celebrate our 20th anniversary – looking at aspects of Knowle West life and how things have changed over the last 20 years.
“We are interested in the differences and similarities between dogs and owners and to see if there was a typical Knowle West dog – but there’s no such thing they are all shapes and sizes…”
