Help writing an article

Provide a suggested heading that will grab people’s attention and let them know what it’s about, plus full name of writer, and company job title and name or the phrase ‘local resident’.

Your first paragraph should include information that answers: Who? What? Where? and When?

Your next few paragraphs should include more information including maybe a quote from someone e.g. Sharon Stone, a local resident, said: “I had a nice time.” (Make sure you have their permission!).

Don’t forget your last paragraph should include contact details for your organisation, club, or event.

Make sure your article will make sense at the time the newsletter is delivered e.g. Don’t write “next month there will be a…” if by the time the newsletter comes out it will be “this month”, or already happened.

To submit info for upcoming events on the back page “Debbie’s Dates” section, simply provide basic info: what, time, place, cost, and contact details.
