The Matthew Tree is one of four projects in the South West to benefit from Big Lottery funding of almost half a million pounds.
The money is to support people across Bristol in crisis as a result of severe hardship.
Chief Executive of The Matthew Tree Project, Mark Goodway, said: “We are thrilled that the innovative model we have pioneered over the last five years, of helping people out of crisis, has been recognised in this way.
“The new funding enables us to work even closer with other partner organisations to ensure that people gain easier access to the help they need when they need it.”
The Matthew Tree Project is a charity based at 10 Filwood Broadway. For more information visit www.the-matthew-tree-project.org or call 0117 966 8071.
