South Bristol Community Construction Company
SBCCC is a charity that aims to improve skills and employment levels and cut crime in South Bristol. It has four projects:
The Buddy Scheme
This is a befriending service for people in South Bristol who are or have been in prison because of substance abuse and related crimes.
Buddies help people train for work, find a job or somewhere to live, or develop social skills and self-confidence.

Construction Project
This provides training in construction, mainly for the long-term unemployed. The training leads to an OCN qualification (equivalent to NVQ Level 2).

Grow and Mow
Gardeners including New Deal trainees, disaffected young people from local schools, and Youth Offending Placements. They do work on public spaces like the Health Park, and also private gardens at a low cost. They also offer a house and garden clearance service.

Restore
This project takes on local young people excluded from school or unemployed, and gives them a 12-week training course in restoring donated furniture. By doing this, the young people learn valuable skills and reduce the amount of furniture that goes to landfill sites.
