Course to get young people cooking

A Knowle West cookery school is running a course during the Easter holidays to encourage young people into the kitchen.

The two-day course for 12-16-year-olds will be held at Square Food Foundation, based at The Park in Daventry Road.

Building on their popular Saturday classes “Kids Cookery Club”, the school will teach children of all abilities  to make a range of dishes from around the world – which  they will then be able to recreate at home.

Community cookery teacher Charlotte Fife says: “it’s such a pleasure working with young people and helping them develop their skills and confidence in the kitchen.

“The course will be a chance for kids to really focus and learn together over two full days. They’ll make sweet and savoury dishes, including Green Thai curry, flatbread, chicken pie and pavlova and will have a chance to take home recipes they’ve cooked to share with their families!”

The course will run on 11 and 12 April from 10am-3pm and costs £100. Each day includes a hands-on cookery session and shared lunch. To book your child’s place visit www.bookwhen.co.uk/squarefoodfoundation.
