organisations ~ A trip you don’t want to take …to A&E

Sadly many people over 65 have tripped or fallen in their own home and needed hospital care – many of these visits could have been avoided. We can help you, or someone you know, miss this trip.

Come and have a cuppa and find out more about how a few easy steps could avoid unnecessary trips and falls.

You may want to come and find out information for yourself, or you may want to pass information on to someone else who could benefit. Whatever your reason for coming, we hope to see you there!

Where: Filwood Community Centre, Barnstaple Rd, Knowle West, Bristol BS4 1JP

When: Thursday 9th February 2012 at 1pm

organisations ~ Its December…… so let’s head to the new beach!!

Children and Families enjoying the Samba Band

Knowle West Children Centre celebrated with their children and families the opening of their ‘beach’ by Annie Hudson Director for Children and Young People’s Services in Bristol. We are so proud to be an outstanding setting and are really excited about the development of a challenging, creative and unusual provision for all of the children.

We have already built a challenging climbing frame, a beach with water and sand, a wild sensory garden.  Our next steps are the development of an exemplorary outdoor learning space for our babies.

It was such a fantastic celebration to see so many families from Knowle West having fun, taking part and enjoying the celebration with their children.

Harry aged four said ” It was the best day of my life”
