cip ~ Customer Service Point – Update

Closure of Bedminster & Knowle Customer Service Points (CSPs)

Bristol City Council propose to close Knowle on 3rd February 2012 & Bedminster on 24th February 2012. Knowle cash desk will, however, close earlier on 16th December 2011.

Library Surgeries

BCC will deliver 5 CSP library surgeries a week once Bedminster & Knowle close. The plan is to deliver the surgeries as follows:

Monday – Bedminster library

Tuesday – Knowle (Broadwalk) library

Wednesday – Filwood library

Thursday – Knowle (Broadwalk) library

Friday – Bedminster library

There will be 2 customer advisors at each surgery to assist & support customers to self serve. Library staff will also be available to help customers with self service.

BCC will shortly be writing to all tenants, in the areas affected, to advise them of the changes. There will also be articles in Housing News & Our City in the new year. Press releases will also take place at key stages in the project. The BCC web site will be updated & flyers & leaflets circulated. CSP staff will also update customers when they visit.
