A powerful new exhibition by Nlarge, a group of local young photographers, opened in Central Bristol at the end of March.  Over the next few weeks it will tour to venues across the city including Knowle West’s own Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC).

Body Image is a series of personal portraits and photographs that express common attitudes to body image, including joy, positivity and introspection.  Please come along and support these young photographers in their fantastic work!

The exhibition was developed during Profound Media, a project at KWMC that aimed to give young people the opportunity to use digital technologies to represent their views on issues relevant to them. Nlarge were then commissioned to develop their work further by the National Osteoporosis Society (NOS), a UK charity that is dedicated to improving the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, and Body Gossip, a national campaign “collecting real people’s stories about their real bodies.”

Nlarge are always keen to welcome new members.  They meet on Tuesdays, 6-8pm at Knowle West Media Centre.  For more information about the group please contact Chloe and for more information about the exhibition please contact Rachel.  Call KWMC on 0117 903 0444 or visit www.kwmc.org.uk.
