This This free, 4-week course aims to help you:

Understand why you are feeling stressed

Learn and practice simple tools and techniques to help manage stress, within a group format

The course is intended to be practical, informal and enjoyable.

It open to people living in south Bristol (Knowle West residents take priority).

Tuesdays

4.30-5.30pm       Boxing,    (80p)

                               Great for fitness and mobility but also self-esteem

                                 and confidence.  For 8—14 years

4.15pm                 Play Rangers in the Park – free

Wednesdays

9.30-10.00am Stretch-n-Grow   (80p)

stories, songs & games for 2-5 year olds, to take

children on an adverture whilst getting fit

5pm—6pm Hip Hop Starz (80p)

A dance class that includes the latest street dance

routines for 8-12yrs

Thursdays

4pm – 5pm Afterschool club (80p)

A mixture of games and activites to suit everybody.  

 Multisports style activities, fun and active play for

4-12 year olds

MONDAY

10am – 11am Armchair Exercise, gentle exercise for people with limited mobility (£2)

11—12 noon One Heart Walking Group, meets in the café for a guided walk of 1 to 2  miles (free),

                            (also provides information on joining the Two & Three Heart Groups)

4.30-5.30pm Smoking Cessation Group to help you quit (free)

 TUESDAY

10am -12noon Art on Referral

6pm & 7pm  Hips, Bums & Tums; fat burning exercise to help all become trimmer (£3)

 WEDNESDAY

9.30-12.30pm Health Matters the fun and informative way to learn more about good health.  (Free)

10.30-11.45am Tai Chi for Wellbeing, simple movements for  balance, relaxation and flexibility (£3.50)

6:30-8:30 Slimming World in the Cafe

7.45-8.45pm Zumba with Tracy Bedford

 THURSDAY

9:30-12:00 Fit and Fab, a drop-in group with the fun approach to getting healthy.  (80p)

6pm — 7pm Step Aerobics, improve strength, stamina and flexibility.  (£3)

7pm — 8pm Absolute beginners, exercise class, a good place to start getting active.  (£2)

 FRIDAY

10.00-12.00 Lipreading class, for people who are beginning to lose their hearing. (£1)

11-12noon Ear Acupuncture with Chris Kirby (£3)

MAKING CHANGES COURSE

 

A 7-week self-development course that uses creative exercises to help you:

Think more positively about yourself

 

Express what you feel

 

Understand yourself more

 

Explore different ways of dealing with difficult relationships

 

This happens in a safe, supportive group run by two experienced facilitators. Starts with one ‘taster’ session so you can try it out without committing to the rest of the course.

MINDFUL LIVING COURSE

A free 8-week course for people living in South Bristol.

 Learn a range of simple techniques to help you stop worrying about the future by focusing on the ‘here and now’.

 Includes some basic yoga, meditation and breathing exercises, suitable for all abilities and ages (18+).

 A great way to reduce anxiety and stress. No need to wear any special clothing—just come as you are!
