About the site
This is a website created by Knowle West Media Centre with a local steering group. It is a tool for the community, including organisations, residents, businesses and groups. Anyone can have training at KWMC’s Community Hub to learn how to update pages, and create posts. Local people can become community reporters and organisations, groups and businesses can use the site as a promotional tool.
Also on certain pages anyone can comment/reply. We welcome this, however we reserve the right to remove comments that contain offensive language, incite violence or illegal activity, or are abusive, racist, sexist or homophobic.
Support The Knowledge
The Knowledge is more than just a quarterly newsletter. It helps people find out what’s going on in their community and offers a platform for local voices to be heard more widely.
It also provides a fun, free and accessible opportunity for people to receive training in community journalism and using digital technology – particularly important for those who have faced barriers to entering formal education. Many community reporters have gone on to employment or further training, using skills they developed while working on the Knowledge.
Become part of the future of the Knowledge and help us to keep it running: donate online or become a community reporter today!
