A group of young women from South Bristol are looking for new members to join them in organizing and promoting a fashion show.
The Youth Events Team – Leah, Emma, Bianca, Shelby and Jazmine – meet on Mondays at 5.30pm at Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC). As part of KWMC’s Fashionate project, they are currently learning marketing and event planning, with sessions exploring technical skills to follow.
In preparation for the event KWMC will host free workshops and a production week between 15th – 20th February and 5th – 9th April. The event will be held on 16th April from 4pm: a three hour extravaganza of clothes, music, customising workshops and more, culminating in a fantastic fashion show of both local and high-street fashion.
The Youth Events Team would love to hear from anyone interested in helping, as well as dancers, models, bands and shops.
